Biography

Samuel Oluwasegun Ogundeyi is a Nigerian filmmaker and photographer passionate about telling authentic African stories. A graduate of Information Technology from Valley View University, Ghana, he transitioned into visual storytelling, driven by a desire to capture the richness of African experiences. In 2023, he emerged as the best-graduating student of the MultiChoice Talent Factory West Africa, earning a scholarship to the New York Film Academy. His work has been recognized internationally, with his photograph "Le Pêcheur" winning second prize at the 2024 GLF Africa Photography Awards. Samuel's creative process is inspired by daily life, music, and spirituality, aiming to produce content that resonates emotionally and culturally. He has contributed to films like "Her Dark Past" (2024), "Rekiya" (2024), and "Take Back the Night" (2023). Looking ahead, Samuel aspires to establish one of West Africa's leading production companies, focusing on narratives that impact and inspire.
