Born on March 28, 1970, in Ibadan, he began acting at age three, influenced by his uncle, the late Akin Ogungbe, a notable figure in Nigerian theater. In 1996, Segun founded Segun Ogungbe Films, producing his debut movie, Ibi Giga, which brought him into the spotlight. Since then, he has directed and acted in numerous films, including Olokiki Oru, One Bad Turn, and Arodan.
