Sergi López i Ayats is a César Award-winning Spanish actor known for his intense versatility, seamlessly moving between menacing villains and vulnerable everymen in both Spanish and French cinema. He gained international fame as the terrifying Captain Vidal in Guillermo del Toro’s masterpiece "Pan's Labyrinth" (2006) and for his breakout role in the psychological thriller "Harry, He's Here to Help" (2000). In 2026, López is the face of one of the year’s most acclaimed international films. He stars in "Sirāt", which has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. Directed by Oliver Laxe, the dystopian drama features López as Luis, a father trekking through a futuristic, lawless North African desert to find his missing daughter within a nomadic rave community.
