Sheldon Woodson

Biography

Sheldon A. Woodson Sr. is a U.S.-born filmmaker, writer, and producer, and the founder of Woodson's World Studios. A Navy veteran with 24 years of service, he later transitioned into film, earning academic credentials in business and film producing. Through his studio, he has written, directed, produced, and edited both short films—like Come Outside (2021) and Taken Over (2021)—and feature films such as Vessel (2023). Woodson champions an “artist-helping-artist” model, using indie filmmaking as a platform to empower under-represented creatives and produce thought-provoking cinema on modest budgets.
