Smart Edikan is a Nigerian filmmaker and founder of SMART Picturex, based in Lagos. A graduate of the New York Film Academy, he has directed and produced several films, including Snatching Fate (2022), After School (2024), and Married to Myself (2024). His short film Cry Me Awake was nominated in six categories at the 2025 Filmjoint Awards, including Best Director and Best Indigenous Film. Edikan's work often explores themes of identity, resilience, and emotional complexity. He continues to contribute to the Nigerian film industry through his storytelling and production efforts.
