Biography

Temitope Shukurah Anike Olaniyi, known professionally as Anike Ami, is a Nigerian actress, producer, scriptwriter, journalist and creative from Imota in Ikorodu, Lagos State. She’s of Yoruba heritage and began acting in community and school dramas before pursuing the craft professionally. After formal training in acting and filmmaking at Prodigy Academy in 2019, she broke through with her role as Ms. Galagala in Jagbajantis (2021), which earned her the Revelation of the Year (Yoruba) at the City People Movie Awards. Since then she’s starred in and produced a number of Yoruba films, including her self-titled Anike Ami (2022) and Asise (Mistake). She also runs a digital channel to share her projects and stays active in storytelling across media. Anike’s journalism background and fluency in both Yoruba and English help her shape relatable, culturally grounded stories that appeal to broad audiences.
