Biography

Winifred Iguwa is a Nigerian writer-director and producer known for crafting thought-provoking film narratives and nurturing emerging talent. She began her journey creating short films, directing and writing "Poker Face" (2019), which won Best First-Time Film at the RealTime International Film Festival and took home Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress awards at the Benue International Film Festival. he followed this with the sci-fi thriller "9TH FLOOR" (2023)—a symbol-rich exploration of corporate power plays and surveillance—both written and directed by her, produced under Winifred Iguwa Network (WIN), her own production company based in Lekki, Lagos.
