The 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards is officially moving forward with its nominations, leading up to the main event on May 9th. A significant shift this year is the appointment of veteran actress Joke Silva as the Head Judge, taking over the position from Femi Odugbemi.
Reflecting a deeper commitment to its pan-African mission, the AMVCA has expanded its reach by introducing two new categories: Best Indigenous Language for North Africa and Central Africa. In total, the ceremony will feature 32 awards, consisting of 18 categories decided by the jury, 11 open to public voting, and three special honors, such as the Trailblazer and Lifetime Achievement awards.
