Synopsis

Jozi – Moving the City is a South African reality series following hip hop duo Jozi (Da L.E.S. and Ishmael) and their manager David Kibuuka as they take their “Muthaland” sound across Africa and the U.S. Over eight episodes, the group chases new inspirations, collaborates with unique artists, and records their album while stumbling into wild adventures—from tracking down Shangaan electro pioneer Nozinja in Limpopo to remixing San tribal music in Namibia, surviving kidnappings in Johannesburg, and clashing with opera singers, hustlers, and their own eccentric manager. The season ends with a high-profile launch, hinting at bigger global ambitions to come.
