Imran Hamdulay is a South African writer, director, and producer based in Cape Town. He is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents and a fellow of the Film Independent Global Media Makers program. His debut feature film, The Heart Is a Muscle, premiered at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival and won the Panorama Independent Jury Award. He also co-wrote and produced the crime thriller Sons of the Sea, which won Best Feature at the Durban International Film Festival. Beyond feature films, his short The Wait won Best Short Film at the 45th Durban International Film Festival.
