Biography
Sherman Pharo is a South African actor, fisherman, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur. Born in the coastal village of Hawston, he grew up in a home marked by domestic violence and has since become a vocal advocate against abuse. He began acting in 2003 and built experience in theatre before appearing in films such as Zulu (2013), The Whale Caller (2016), and Indemnity (2021). On television, he is known for his leading role as Thys Cupido on the soap Arendsvlei. Sherman also delivered a TEDx talk titled “Redefining Manhood: Breaking Cycles of Violence.”
