Adam Willis is an elite set decorator whose work is defined by a "lived-in" documentary realism. He began his career on indie hits like Take Shelter (2011) and Spring Breakers (2012) before becoming a go-to artisan for directors who demand hyper-authentic, period-correct environments. Willis is known for his ability to source thousands of specific, tangible items that provide a "window" into a character's soul. In 2023, he reached international acclaim for Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, for which he received his first Oscar nomination. In 2025, he partnered again with legendary production designer Jack Fisk for Josh Safdie's Marty Supreme. His work on the film, which included recreating 1950s NYC ping-pong clubs and sourcing 16,000 vintage shoe boxes—earned him a 2026 Academy Award nomination for Best Production Design.
