Adeshina Abiola Paul is a Nigerian filmmaker known for his work as a director, writer and producer, most notably on films such as Asarailu (2019), Basil (2019), To Have & To Hold (2019) and Majelé (Poison) (2018). He studied Cooperative Economics and Management at the Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan, and previously attended Methodist Secondary Grammar School, Elekuro, Ibadan. Born in Ibadan on 11 December 1984, he is married with three children. His production company, Slate 1 Films, is based in Ibadan. Paul often expresses that filmmaking is not just his job but his life: “film-making is a life and life is film-making.” He brings a strong local sense of storytelling and industry dedication to his craft, working across genres and roles to bring Nigerian cinematic stories to life.
