Biography
Anthony Woode is a Ghanaian actor and writer celebrated for bringing the lead role to life in the revival of the iconic investigative drama “Inspector Bediako.” Known for his thoughtful, immersive approach to character work, he has won several major awards including Best Actor in a Lead Role at the Ghana Movie Awards in 2021, Most Promising Actor at Golden Movie Awards Africa in 2019, and Best Actor at the Supreme Academy Awards in 2022. Anthony holds a BA in Communication Studies and a Diploma in Public Relations Management from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and trained in acting and script-writing at the Ghallywood Academy of Film. When he’s not working, he values quiet time—listening to music, writing and recharging. He believes deeply in taking one’s time to do things well, summed up in his favorite saying: “Life is no race; it’s better to go late than to go wrong.” With a goal-oriented mindset, he’s building a career rooted in authenticity, versatility, and a love for storytelling.
