Binta Ayo Mogaji is a veteran Nigerian actress with a career spanning over four decades. Born in 1964 in Agbo-Ile, Ibadan, she began acting as a youth and went on to appear in hundreds of films, television shows, and stage productions. Known for roles in Yoruba and Nollywood cinema, she has been recognized for her depth and range on screen, earning awards including Best Actress at the REEL Awards. Mogaji earned the nickname “Mama Insurance” and continues to be a respected figure in the industry. Beyond acting, she has produced films and shared insights on the challenges of independent filmmaking. In her personal life, she welcomed her only child at age 40 despite significant health hurdles. She was married to Victor Ayodele Oduleye for 13 years before their separation and speaks openly about resilience and personal strength. Mogaji remains active in film and a mentor to younger talents.
