Biography
Bode Asiyanbi is a Nigerian playwright, screenwriter, and poet renowned for his compelling narratives that delve into social issues. Born in Oshogbo, he studied Microbiology at Obafemi Awolowo University and later earned a Master's in Creative Writing from Lancaster University. Asiyanbi is a two-time winner of the BBC African Performance Playwriting Prize and received the 2018 BBC/British Council Georgi Markov Prize. His notable works include the stage play Shattered, the film Chief Daddy, and the TV series Movement-Japa. Through his storytelling, Asiyanbi continues to shed light on societal challenges, making significant contributions to Nigerian literature and theatre.
