Biography
Bogunmbe Abiola Paul, also known as Adeshina Abiola Paul, is a Nigerian filmmaker based in Ibadan. As the founder of SLATE 1 FILMS PRODUCTION, he has directed and produced several feature films, including Asarailu, Basil, To Have & To Hold, and Majele (Poison). His film Majele earned the Best Lead Actress award at the 2019 Real Time International Film Festival in Lagos. Paul is deeply passionate about storytelling and views filmmaking as an integral part of his life. He holds an OND in Cooperative Economics and Management from the Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan. Beyond filmmaking, he is committed to nurturing new talent through the SLATE 1 FILMS ACADEMY. His dedication to the craft and his community has made him a respected figure in the Nigerian film industry.
