Biography
Busisiwe Ntintili is a multi-award-winning South African film and television writer, director, and producer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She is the creator and writer of Netflix’s third original African series, JIVA!, and the screenwriter of the box office hit film Happiness is a 4 Letter Word. Her acclaimed work includes the Peabody Award-winning drama Intersexions and the SAFTA-winning 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls. Ntintili's career began at age 13 when she produced her first professional play under the New Jersey Young Playwrights Programme. She has since worked across various genres, including soap operas, telenovelas, comedies, mini-series, and feature films, contributing to productions like The Wife, Isidingo, and Generations. Beyond her creative work, Ntintili is dedicated to mentorship, having trained and mentored emerging black storytellers in film and television for over two decades through workshops, festivals, one-on-one mentoring, and by hiring new voices for her writers' rooms.
