Chris Coy is a seasoned American actor known for his ability to embody complex, often intense characters across major television dramas and genre films. Raised in Kentucky and later Florida by his grandparents, he made the bold move to Los Angeles at seventeen to pursue a career in the arts. He first gained significant industry attention for his roles in HBO’s Treme and True Blood, but it was his chilling performance as the cannibal Martin in The Walking Dead and the menacing Calvin Bunker in Banshee that solidified his reputation for playing "darker" roles. To be honest, Chris has spent much of the last few years intentionally shifting away from those "bad guy" archetypes. His acclaimed performance as Paul, the gentle gay bartender in The Deuce, marked a major turning point, proving his range as a sensitive dramatic lead.
