Christopher Edward Nolan is a British-American film director, producer, and screenwriter, widely considered one of the most influential and successful filmmakers of the 21st century. Known for his complex narrative structures, preference for practical effects over CGI, and large-format cinematography (IMAX 70mm), his films have grossed billions worldwide. He recently achieved the pinnacle of industry recognition with "Oppenheimer" (2023), which won 7 Academy Awards, including his first wins for Best Director and Best Picture. He is currently in post-production on his most ambitious project to date: "The Odyssey" (2026). This adaptation of Homer’s epic poem marks his return to large-scale action filmmaking and is the first feature film to be shot entirely on IMAX 70mm cameras (breaking his own previous records of partial IMAX usage). The film reunites him with frequent collaborators Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and composer Ludwig Göransson.
