Biography
Destiny Osagiede is a Nigerian-born actor, dancer, and spoken word artist based in the United Kingdom. A graduate of Theatre and Performance Arts from the University of Benin, Nigeria, he has made significant strides in both the British and Nigerian film industries. Notably, Destiny portrayed Joseph Philippe Lemercier Laroche, the only known Black passenger aboard the RMS Titanic, in the play Laroche, marking a historic achievement as the first Nigerian actor to take on this role. His performance was part of a Black History Month celebration in Birmingham, highlighting underrepresented narratives in theatre. In addition to acting, Destiny is the co-founder of BDots Studio, an award-winning dance company established in Nigeria in 2015. He has also worked with the International Organisation for Migration as a volunteer theatre performer and choreographer, creating awareness about irregular migration. Destiny's diverse talents extend to event hosting, modelling, and choreography, reflecting his commitment to the arts and cultural representation.
