Ejike Asiegbu is a veteran Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and industry leader with a career spanning more than two decades. Born on November 8, 1959, he studied Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt before entering Nollywood in the mid‑1990s with a breakthrough role in Silent Night (1996). Since then he has appeared in over 250 films, including notable titles like State of Emergency and The Silent Baron, earning recognition for his strong screen presence and versatility. Asiegbu also served as President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), where he advocated for professional standards and actors’ rights, and remains active in industry development through roles like Executive Director of the Actors Charity Foundation and board member of the Audio Visual Rights Society of Nigeria. Beyond film, he contributes as a cultural advocate and mentor, shaping opportunities for upcoming talent. He is married to Ogechi Asiegbu and they have four children.
