Biography

Francis Ogide Duru is a seasoned Nigerian actor, philanthropist, and former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). He pursued Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, graduating in 1996. Duru's acting career began in 1989 with Missing Mark, but he gained prominence in 1995 with Rattlesnake. His notable works include Mboputa (2020) and The Good Husband (2020). He received the United Nations Ambassador of Peace award in 2007 and the Best Actor (Igbo) award at the 2020 Best of Nollywood Awards. Married to Adokiye since 2003, they have four children. Duru is actively involved in humanitarian efforts, collaborating with organizations like UNICEF and USAID to improve children's education and welfare across Africa
