Fred Nii Amugi (born 5 November 1948 in Accra, Ghana) is a veteran Ghanaian actor and singer renowned for his decades-long contribution to film and television. He began acting in the 1970s in dramas and documentaries, rising to fame with the TV series Opinto in 1985. Amugi has since appeared in many notable works, including Holby City, Beasts of No Nation, The Cursed Ones, and Gold Coast Lounge. Aside from acting, he worked 33 years in Ghana’s civil service, eventually serving as Acting Director of Supply in the Ministry of Finance. His accolades include the Order of the Volta (2008) and lifetime honors for his enduring legacy in Ghanaian entertainment.
