Guy Busick is an American film and television screenwriter known for his work in modern horror and thriller films. Born on November 1, 1975, in Grand Island, Nebraska, he began his career in 2016 by writing the story for the thriller Urge. Busick later moved into television, contributing episodes to series such as Stan Against Evil and Castle Rock. He gained wider recognition after co-writing the dark comedy horror film Ready or Not (2019), which became a breakout hit and established his voice in the genre. Busick continued that momentum with scripts for the revived Scream franchise, including Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023), as well as the horror film Abigail (2024). Known for blending suspense, humor, and sharp genre awareness, Busick frequently collaborates with directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, helping shape a new wave of contemporary horror storytelling.
