Hichem Mesbah is an Algerian actor and theatre veteran, trained at the Institut National des Arts Dramatiques et Chorégraphiques (INADC) in Algiers. He co-wrote the hit theatre piece Folies berbères with his brother, which became a staple in Algerian theatrical culture. In film, he’s appeared in Sektou (2008) and L’Oranais (2014), and contributed voice work to the animated J’ai perdu mon corps (2019). In 2024, he starred as a morally ambiguous investigator in Algiers, directed by Chakib Taleb-Bendiab.
