James Hyndman is a Canadian actor known for his work in film, television and stage. Born on April 23, 1962 in Bonn, West Germany, he grew up in Canada and trained in theatre before building a diverse career across multiple screens. He became widely known for his role in the television series Rumeurs, winning a Gémeaux Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2003, and earned a Genie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the film Rowing Through in 1996. Hyndman has appeared in many Canadian picture and television projects, including Les Pots cassés, Eldorado, Polygraph, Black Eyed Dog, Boris Without Béatrice, and the series Trauma. He’s recognized for his depth and range, able to shift between dramatic and comedic roles.
