Jo-Anne Reyneke is a celebrated South African actress and voice-over artist, widely recognized as one of the country's leading television stars. Born to a black Zulu mother and a white father, she was raised in Pietermaritzburg and has spoken openly about her experiences growing up with a mixed heritage. She became a household name in 2009 with her breakout role as the bubbly receptionist Pearl Mdluli in the long-running soap opera Muvhango. Since then, she has transitioned into more dramatic and comedic lead roles, earning critical acclaim. In 2018, she won a SAFTA (South African Film and Television Award) for Best Actress in a TV Soap for her role in Broken Vows. She continues to dominate South African screens with lead roles in hit sitcoms like Black Tax and high-stakes dramas like The Estate.
