Joel Assaizky is a South African composer, multi-instrumentalist, and film score producer known for creating music across television, film, documentaries, and commercial media. Born in Johannesburg on April 16, 1973, he studied jazz at the University of Cape Town before building a career in screen composition and soundtrack production. Assaizky has composed music for acclaimed productions such as The Queen, Rhythm City, Fatal Seduction, Kings of Jo’burg, The Brave Ones, and Big Nunu’s Little Heist, establishing himself as one of the notable names in South African screen music. His work has earned multiple SAFTA nominations, including a win for Best Original Score for Rockville, alongside an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award recognition for music and sound. Known for blending orchestral, jazz, and contemporary African influences, Assaizky continues to shape the emotional landscape of African film and television through immersive sound design and composition.

Ade, an accomplished financial executive and his brother Femi are South-African immigrants. Unknown to Ade, his brother, who is in South-Africa because of a self-imposed exile due to political affiliation in Nigeria has been kidnapped. On discovery that his brother is missing Ade carries out investigations to unravel the mystery and discovers the difficult lifestyle subjected to him. Ade pays homage to a former employer of Femi, when violence occurred which forced him to live with the boss. The frequent violent riots in the neighbourhood open up many revelations about the life of his brother.
