Biography
Karam Gill is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker, creative director and founder of MGX Creative. He burst onto the scene in 2017 with his debut documentary G Funk, exploring the rise of hip-hop icons such as Snoop Dogg and Warren G. At just 22, he became the youngest director to premiere a feature doc at SXSW Film Festival. Since then he has written and directed acclaimed documentary-series including Supervillain: The Making of Tekashi 6ix9ine (2021) and Ice Cold (2021), which blends cultural commentary with strong visual storytelling. In 2022 he directed Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby for Amazon Prime Video, marking another milestone in his career. Beyond film and TV, his company MGX Creative produces multimedia content and campaigns for major global brands. Recognized among Forbes 30 Under 30 in Hollywood & Entertainment (2022), he stands out for using contemporary culture as a lens to tackle larger social themes through artful and engaging storytelling.
