Biography
Kathryn Fasegha is an award-winning Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker, writer, and actress with a career spanning over three decades. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and an M.A. in Broadcasting, and is a trained journalist from the London School of Journalism. Her debut feature film, Treacherous Heart (2012), was screened across Canada and the U.S., earning the "Best Drama in Diaspora" award at NAFCA. Her second film, 2 Weeks in Lagos (2019), premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and later streamed on Netflix. Fasegha is also involved in drama evangelism and serves as the president of the Black Actors and Film Guild Canada, Alberta chapter.

"2 Weeks in Lagos" is a turbulent and thrilling journey into the lives of Ejikeme and Lola. Their lives collide when Ejikeme an investment banker comes home from the United States with Lola's brother Charlie to invest in Nigerian businesses. It is love at first sight for them and as they embark on a journey of discovering this new love, they have to contend with the political ambitions of Ejikeme's mother who is planning a marriage between him and the only daughter of Otunba Ayodeji, a political juggernaut who is considering Ejikeme's father as his running mate for the Nigerian Presidency.
