Biography

Lillian Carmen Ike-Okoro is a Nigerian film director, writer, and storyteller with a background in law and copywriting. She began her directing career in 2021 with the web series When Are We Getting Married. In 2022, she directed a public service announcement addressing sexual and gender-based violence. That same year, she co-directed the feature film Shina, a crime thriller set in Lagos, which premiered on Netflix in 2024. In 2023, she made her solo directorial debut with Ègún, a psychological thriller exploring corporate greed and personal trauma. The film was noted for its strong visual style and thematic depth. Carmen is associated with FilmTrybe, a Nigerian production company, and continues to contribute to the evolving landscape of Nollywood cinema.
