Elma Baisie is a Ghanaian filmmaker, cinematographer, and creative director based in Accra. A graduate of the MultiChoice Talent Factory West Africa, she has swiftly gained recognition for her compelling visual storytelling. Her debut feature film, Everything Light Touches, co-directed during her time at the academy, earned a nomination at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) and is currently streaming on Showmax. Elma's work often delves into environmental and social themes. Her documentary Revive the Ocean examines the impact of plastic pollution on marine life and was selected for the CITP2025 shorts program. She also directed Moon Over Aburi and Òdè! There Is No Bus Stop on This Trip, showcasing her versatility across genres. Beyond directing, Elma is skilled in cinematography and color grading, often taking on multiple roles in her projects. Her approach combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to storytelling, aiming to highlight underrepresented voices and issues. Through her lens, she continues to craft narratives that resonate both locally and globally.
