Maya Ray Thurman Hawke is an American actress and singer-songwriter who has carved a unique path blending blockbuster nostalgia with indie sensibilities. The daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, she became a global breakout star as Robin Buckley in Netflix's Stranger Things. In 2026, she officially joins another massive dystopia. Hawke has been cast in "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" (November 20, 2026). She plays the young Wiress, the District 3 victor who would later become known for her genius and eccentricity (and her famous "tick tock" line in Catching Fire). In this prequel, she portrays Wiress during her earlier years as a mentor, acting alongside Joseph Zada's Haymitch Abernathy. Her 2026 slate also includes two major comedies. She stars opposite Lewis Pullman in the surrealist rom-com "Wishful Thinking", which premiered at SXSW in March 2026, playing a game designer whose relationship issues cause metaphysical chaos. Later in the year, she appears in the R-rated ensemble comedy "One Night Only" (August 2026), directed by Will Gluck. This busy film year follows the emotional conclusion of "Stranger Things" (Season 5), which finished its historic run in late 2025, where her character Robin remained a fan favorite until the end.
