Mustafa Husseini

Biography

Mustafa (known professionally as MusT) Husseini is a Bradford-based performer whose journey into the arts began as a form of creative expression following his arrival in the UK from Afghanistan. He first gained attention through his work with Good Chance Theatre (the creators of The Jungle and The Walk) on the Change the Word project, which focuses on the power of poetry and storytelling in displacement. His breakthrough in the professional theatre circuit came with his training at Red Ladder, one of Britain's leading radical theatre companies, and his selection for the National Youth Theatre's ambitious 2024 production, NEST. In late 2025 and early 2026, Husseini successfully transitioned to the screen, joining the international ensemble of the Netflix drama Steve. As of February 2026, he is a member of the Performance Collective, where he continues to develop new work that bridges traditional Afghan storytelling with contemporary British drama.
