Olumide Soyombo

Biography

Olumide Soyombo, born in September 1983, is a Nigerian tech entrepreneur and prominent angel investor. He co-founded Bluechip Technologies in 2008, providing data solutions to major African banks and telecoms. In 2021, he launched Voltron Capital, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage African startups. Soyombo has invested in over 60 startups, including Paystack, PiggyVest, and TeamApt. He holds a BSc in Systems Engineering from the University of Lagos and an MSc in Business and Information Technology from Aston University. His early interest in technology began at age 12, selling pre-registered email accounts.
