Lungelo Tyson Mathonsi is a South African actor, producer, and musician from Esikhawini, KwaZulu-Natal. A performance art graduate, he transitioned from aspiring rugby player to actor after an injury redirected his path . Mathonsi is best known for his role as Jabu Mazibuko in Sibongile & The Dlaminis, portraying a complex character driven by love and revenge . His diverse portfolio includes appearances in Isono, Grown Woman, Muvhango, The Queen, and MTV Shuga: Down South .
