Xavier Ighorodje is a Nigerian-born screenwriter, producer, and showrunner known for creating and headwriting Netflix’s Shanty Town. He has also led projects like Covenant and Enakhe for Africa Magic and co-created the thriller One Chance. His writing spans film, TV, and games, including a top-performing stint in a game writing masterclass led by God of War’s narrative designer. Xavier is the founder of Ogbono Studios, a creative hub for storytelling across media. His work often blends gritty realism with fantasy, reflecting his love for epic fiction and his background in chemical engineering. He’s also the writer of The Will of Iron, a Sundance award-winning documentary. Known for his wit and creative energy, Xavier continues to shape African storytelling with bold, character-driven narratives.
