Filmmaker and actress Omoni Oboli has revealed that everyone who worked on her hit YouTube film Love in Every Word received a pay raise after the project’s success.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming sequel starring Uzor Arukwe (Odogwu) and Bam Bam (Achalugo), Oboli opened up about her approach to filmmaking and the motivation behind rewarding her team.
“When we started our YouTube channel, I said to myself, I'm used to making big screen films. I've been making movies that go to the cinema, that go to Netflix, that go to Amazon. I'm not going to come to YouTube and just do what everyone else is doing,” she said.

The first Love in Every Word became a breakout hit on her YouTube platform, amassing huge viewership and solidifying Oboli’s presence in the digital movie space. But beyond its success, what stood out for her was the dedication of her team — something she felt deserved more than just verbal praise.
“After the success of part one, every single person that worked on that project got more money,” Oboli revealed. “I am the queen of making sequels that are better than the first, and this one will be no different.”
Now, as she prepares to release Love in Every Word 2, Oboli says her focus has shifted from personal fame to empowerment and growth within the industry.
“At this point in my career, I'm not looking for fame anymore. I'm just looking to create stars. I want to bring more people into the industry, make more people famous, and use my platform to shine the spotlight on others,” she said.
From the big screen to streaming platforms and now YouTube, Omoni Oboli continues to prove that storytelling can be both impactful and rewarding - not just for audiences, but for everyone who helps bring the story to life.
The sequel to Love in Every Word is set to continue that legacy, and if Oboli’s track record is anything to go by, it might just be her biggest YouTube success yet.

Omoni Oboli and Bimbo Ademoye are set to return with sequels to Love in Every Word and Ruse, promising more drama, romance, and intrigue on screen.
