Ahn Hyo-seop

Biography

Ahn Hyo-seop is a Seoul-born Canadian actor and singer who has become a global household name. At age seven, his family immigrated to Toronto, Canada, where he was raised until he decided to return to South Korea alone at age 17 to pursue entertainment. Before acting, he spent three years as a trainee at JYP Entertainment, where he nearly debuted with the group GOT7. He officially debuted in 2015 as part of the project group One O One before transitioning into acting. His "breakthrough" came with the medical drama Dr. Romantic 2 (2020), which earned him the Best New Actor award at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2025, he expanded into global animation, providing the voice and singing for the character Jinu in the record-breaking film KPop Demon Hunters.
