Yunjin Kim is a world-renowned actress who famously bridged the gap between the South Korean film industry and Hollywood. Born in Seoul, she immigrated to Staten Island, New York, at age ten. After training at the prestigious LaGuardia High School (the "Fame" school), she returned to Korea in 1996 and became an overnight superstar with the record-breaking spy thriller Shiri (1999). She made history in 2004 as the first Korean actor to star in a major American television series, playing Sun-Hwa Kwon on ABC's global phenomenon Lost. In 2025, she lent her voice to the character Celine in the animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, marking a nostalgic "Lost reunion" with her former on-screen husband, Daniel Dae Kim.
