Biography

Akosua Asieduaa Asare Brewu is a dynamic Ghanaian actress, activist, and academic, widely recognized for her breakout role as "Tilly" in the popular television series YOLO. Since being discovered and signed by Pave in 2019, she has leveraged her growing platform to transition from a screen star to a prominent advocate for social change. Her performance as a high school senior navigating the complexities of adolescence has earned her widespread acclaim across West Africa. Beyond her acting career, Akosua is a passionate champion for youth empowerment and gender equality. She recently took center stage at a USAID Youth Conference in Washington, D.C., where she addressed critical issues such as period poverty and the necessity of empowering the girl child. Academically accomplished, she holds a degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Ghana and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Environmental Resources Management at KNUST, seamlessly blending her creative influence with environmental advocacy.
