William Kojo Lamptey is an acclaimed Ghanaian filmmaker, director, and cinematographer known for his visually stunning storytelling and technical precision. As the co-founder and Creative Director of Cinelord, he has been a pivotal figure in elevating the production quality of West African cinema. His directorial portfolio includes highly praised works such as The Cursed Ones, which garnered thirteen nominations and five wins at the 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), including Best Director. Beyond his feature film success, William is a prolific director of music videos and commercial content, working with top-tier African artists and global brands. His expertise in cinematography and post-production has made him a sought-after collaborator in the industry. Educated at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) in Accra, he continues to push creative boundaries, mentoring emerging filmmakers and contributing to the growth of Ghana’s vibrant media landscape through innovation and artistic excellence.
