Arturo Castro is a Guatemalan actor, comedian, and writer who has successfully transitioned from breakout television roles to major Hollywood film productions. He first gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Jaimé Castro, the lovable and hilariously specific roommate in the Comedy Central hit "Broad City" (2014–2019), and for his dramatic turn as David Rodríguez in the Netflix crime drama "Narcos". In 2025 and 2026, Castro is a fixture in high-profile cinema. He recently starred in the sci-fi sequel "Tron: Ares" (released October 2025), playing Seth Flores, a tech expert and colleague to the film's female lead (Greta Lee). While the film received mixed reactions, Castro's performance was noted for bringing humanity to the digital landscape. He also lends his voice to the current theatrical hit "The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants" (released December 2025), voicing the Ride Operator in the film's live-action/animation hybrid sequences. Castro is currently active in the podcasting space, having launched "Greatest Escapes with Arturo Castro" in January 2025. The iHeartRadio original series blends his comedic storytelling with history, recounting famous jailbreaks and heists. Looking ahead, he is set to appear in the action-comedy "Matchbox", directed by Sam Hargrave and starring John Cena, as well as the 20th Century feature "Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice" alongside Vince Vaughn. His recent credits also include a scene-stealing role in the 2024 remake of "Road House" and the horror-comedy "The Menu".
