Biography

Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, known as Ali Baba, is a trailblazing Nigerian stand-up comedian, actor, and master of ceremonies. Born in Agbarha-Otor, Delta State, he is often hailed as the father of modern Nigerian comedy. A graduate of Religious Studies & Philosophy from Ambrose Alli University, Ali Baba began his comedy career in 1991, performing at corporate events and on television. He founded the annual January 1st Concert and the Spontaneity platform to mentor emerging comedians. His film credits include The Wedding Party and Gold Statue. Married to Mary Akpobome, he is a father of five and continues to influence Nigeria's entertainment landscape.
