Beverly Ifunaya Bassey, professionally known as Beverly Naya, is a British-born Nigerian actress and filmmaker. She began acting at 17 while studying philosophy, psychology, and sociology at Brunel University. She further honed her craft in scriptwriting and filmmaking at Roehampton University. Naya relocated to Nigeria to pursue a career in Nollywood, where she gained recognition for her roles in films like The Wedding Party, Chief Daddy, and Before 30. She has received accolades including the Most Promising Talent at the 2010 Best of Nollywood Awards and Fast Rising Actress at the 2011 City People Entertainment Awards. Beyond acting, she produced the award-winning documentary Skin, addressing colorism in Nigeria.
