Yolanda Okereke-Fubara is a Nigerian costume designer and stylist who transitioned from a background in chemical engineering to a celebrated career in fashion and film. Her journey began in 2009, styling prominent figures like Monalisa Chinda and Djinee. Over the years, she has worked with notable personalities such as Kate Henshaw, Rita Dominic, and Nse Ikpe-Etim. Yolanda's expertise extends to costume design for films, with credits in over 20 Nollywood productions, including "King of Boys," "Blood Sisters," and "The Wedding Party." She co-founded The Rani Company and Wardrobe Shack, contributing significantly to the Nigerian fashion industry. Her work has earned her accolades like the Eko Star and TV award for Best Film and TV Costume Designer. Yolanda emphasizes the importance of storytelling through costume, believing that attire plays a crucial role in character development and narrative authenticity. Despite personal challenges, including the loss of her husband, actor Karibi Fubara, she continues to impact Nollywood with her dedication and creativity. Yolanda's commitment to her craft has solidified her reputation as a key figure in bringing characters to life on screen.
