The story
Based on Lola Shoneyin's celebrated novel The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives, this sweeping drama follows Bolanle the educated fourth wife of a prosperous Yoruba patriarch named Baba Segi whose arrival in the household disturbs a delicate and dangerous balance that has held for years. Each wife carries a secret. Each secret has a cost. And the arrival of one woman is all it takes to unravel everything. A story about power, silence, tradition, and the extraordinary strength of women bound by circumstance. This is the beloved story been adapted into a feature film.
