She co-founded 1Pod Pictures and founded WildLace Productions, contributing significantly to Nollywood's evolving landscape. Her notable works include The Royal Hibiscus Hotel (2017), Oloture (2019), and A Night in 2005 (2024), a film exploring themes of love, friendship, and family. Makanjuola's dedication to addressing societal issues through film has earned her recognition, including selection for the African Creative TV 2024 Residency in Los Angeles.
