Biography
Chelsea Peretti is a powerhouse of American comedy, known for a sharp, dry, and often surreal wit that has made her a standout as an actress, writer, and director. While millions know her as the social-media-obsessed Gina Linetti on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, her influence stretches much deeper into the industry. She’s written for some of the most influential comedies of the last decade, including Parks and Recreation, Saturday Night Live, and the Kroll Show. To be honest, it’s her ability to play characters that are simultaneously obnoxious and incredibly insightful that makes her such a unique presence on screen. In recent years, Chelsea has successfully transitioned into filmmaking. In 2024, she made her feature directorial debut with the meta-comedy First Time Female Director, which she also wrote and starred in alongside Amy Poehler. The film was praised for its "messy, challenging, and painfully humorous" look at women in the entertainment industry. Beyond the screen, she is an accomplished musician, having released two concept EPs, and is a staple in the podcasting world. As of 2026, she remains at the top of her game, currently filming the highly anticipated 2026 comedy Cut Off alongside Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig.
